Call Bupa
Ask whether your policy covers podiatry or physiotherapy care at The Hub Glasgow.
Insurance guidance
If you plan to use Bupa, the safest route is to get the right authorisation before you book. This page gives you the information to check with Bupa first.
Before you book
Bupa needs to confirm what your policy covers. We can guide you on the appointment route, but you are responsible for gaining authorisation before treatment. If your policy does not authorise the right codes, fees may apply.
Ask whether your policy covers podiatry or physiotherapy care at The Hub Glasgow.
Use the procedure codes below and ask Bupa to authorise the correct codes before your appointment.
Send us your pre-authorisation number, claim reference and the appointment codes Bupa has approved.
Once the route is clear, we can help you book the right appointment or advise if self-pay is simpler.
Provider numbers
Give Bupa the provider number below and ask them to confirm the appointment codes they will authorise under your policy.
Procedure codes
These are the procedure codes to discuss with Bupa. Ask Bupa to authorise the relevant codes before your appointment and confirm whether any excess, shortfall or policy restriction applies.
Initial podiatry visit including cryotherapy and local anaesthetic where covered.
Follow-on podiatry visit including cryotherapy and local anaesthetic where covered.
Avulsion or wedge excision of nail package by podiatrist, including local anaesthetic.
Microwave ablation therapy for warts and verrucae, including consultation.
Gait analysis including biomechanical assessment with video infra-red computerised analysis.
Bupa may not fund podiatrists to administer shockwave therapy.
What may not be covered
Bupa policies vary, but these are common areas where patients may need to pay directly.
We cannot guarantee that Bupa will pay for an appointment. If Bupa does not authorise or pay the full fee, you are responsible for the balance.
Email your authorisation number, claim reference and any Bupa instructions before your appointment where possible.
If Bupa advises that an excess or shortfall is due, this is paid directly to The Hub Glasgow.
If your policy covers physiotherapy for conservative care, ask Bupa whether Mansi can support your route before booking.
