Your arch looks lower than before
One foot may appear flatter, the heel may roll outwards or shoes may feel less supportive than they used to.
A joined-up plan for a painful or changing adult flat foot, with biomechanics assessment, diagnostic ultrasound, custom orthotics and three extended treatment and rehabilitation appointments for £497.
Adult acquired flat foot can develop when structures supporting the arch, often including the tibialis posterior tendon, are no longer managing load as they used to. Different problems can look similar, so the plan begins with a proper assessment.
One foot may appear flatter, the heel may roll outwards or shoes may feel less supportive than they used to.
You may notice pain or swelling behind the inner ankle, through the instep, or sometimes around the outside of the ankle as the foot changes.
Longer periods standing or walking may provoke symptoms, and rising onto the toes on one leg may feel weak or painful.

Custom orthotics can reduce strain and improve support, but they work best as part of a plan that also addresses strength, mobility, footwear and the demands you place on the foot.
Assessment and scan findings are explained in plain language before the treatment plan is confirmed.
Custom orthotics and practical footwear advice are matched to your foot, symptoms and daily demands.
Rehabilitation develops strength and load tolerance for walking, work and exercise rather than relying on support alone.
This package is for a flexible, painful or changing adult flat foot that appears suitable for non-surgical management. It is not an injection package and does not include a Richie brace. If the foot is rigid, rapidly changing or needs a different level of support, we will explain the safer next step.
The package brings assessment, imaging, custom support and rehabilitation together, saving £218 compared with booking the listed elements separately.
Individual value £715. Package price £497. You save £218. Your custom orthotics and home rehabilitation programme are included. There is no separate injection or brace component hidden in the price.
Flat feet are common and do not always need treatment. This package is aimed at adults with pain, weakness, reduced function or a foot shape that has changed.
No. Adult acquired flat foot describes a foot that has changed over time, often with pain or reduced function. Assessment helps distinguish this from a long-standing, comfortable flat foot.
Yes. The £497 package includes custom orthotics made around your assessment findings, with no separate orthotics charge.
No. There is no injection and no Richie brace in this package. It includes custom orthotics, a scan, assessment and three extended treatment and rehabilitation appointments.
No. A rigid deformity, a rapid change in shape, major weakness or other clinical findings may need different imaging, temporary immobilisation, bracing or an orthopaedic opinion. We will explain that clearly if it applies.
Diagnostic ultrasound can assess relevant soft-tissue and tendon structures. It supports the clinical examination but does not show every cause of pain or every part of the foot.
Bring the shoes you wear most, any current insoles or braces, and shorts or clothing that allows the clinician to assess your lower leg and walking.
A sudden collapse of the arch, a recent significant injury, inability to bear weight, a hot or rapidly worsening swollen foot, spreading redness, fever, a new wound, loss of sensation or feeling unwell needs prompt medical assessment rather than a package booking.
